After having lost the 2.0T badge this winter, and just recently, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! as well, I figured it was finally time to finish the job.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

So I jumped right in and got started. First things first, a quick rinse and then off with the badges using a bit of dental floss. I used this method because it was quick and easy, and because I don't have a heat gun (or know anybody who does). The problem is that it leaves a lot of crap on the car.

So I hit with some Goo Gone. Four times. After soaking and scrubbing and soaking and scratching with my fingernails, it started to look sort of good.

So one last time with the Goo Gone and it's still pretty nasty, but it's not super obvious unless you get close. The remaining glue kind of blends into the orange peel from the respray that was done last year.

So, all-in-all, I'm pretty useless when it comes to anything autobody. I tried, and failed, but at least it wasn't as bad as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on the sidewalk in front of my neighbour's house...

I hated the EX badge on my car. I mean seriously what were they thinking putting it under the taillight like that. I also CAN NOT STAND having a dealership sticker on my car. I took mine off a few days ago. I used a hair dryer, and rubbed the glue off with Simple Green on a clean towel.

I really though this said that your car was a "Psst," like, "psst, come here, I got something to tell you."

'Cause I'm classy, I guess? :) Excluding the fact that my wife uses the car every day, I prefer removing the badge off to re-gluing it, probably crooked.
